Home From Nam After 31 Years
Thirty-one years after he was reported MIA in Nam, Rudy Ray's remains was returned to Texas for burial. The remains of Sgt.Ray were found in the wreckage of his helicopter in Cambodia-remember we never "officially" fought in Cambodia. Sgt. Rays mother finally is able to get some peace about what happened to her son. "I wanted to be alive and know what really happened to him".
In a moment too reminiscent of countless other times in the 60's and 70's we stood and watched as a young soldier made his final trip home. Except that this time it meant that one more name could be removed from the list of Viet Nam MIA'S that the list could drop from 1,958 names to 1,957 names. One more person could remove a POW/MIA bracelet with the satisfaction of knowing that their soldier has been accounted for.
The story of Rudy Ray is exactly why we can not let this matter rest until all the POW/MIA issues have been answered.

Thoughts & Prayers
I received the news that Dick Doty (he moved from here to go back to Ohio 3 years ago) has cancer. He is undergoing treatment. Everyone here at the Rooster sends our love and prayers.

I am sorry to report that Dick Tingle of the North Florida Road Riders has passed away. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Our thoughts and prayers also go out to Crash (Daytona Outlaws) and his family and friends. He is in the hospital in Chattanooga, TN with broken ribs, collar bone and pelvis due to a motorcycle accident. He is listed in serious condition. We wish you a speedy recovery.
